The Initial Concept
The Chalfont Bookkeeping Service is run by Kevin, who has lived in
Chalfont St Peter for over 20 years. Before that Kevin had over 25 year’s
experience as a design engineer in the oil & gas industries where he learned how
to complete a set of accounts. In 2017 when work slowed down he decided not
to wait for it to pick up but to face a new challenge: helping others with their
accounts - and The Chalfont Bookkeeping Service was formed.
As in the Oil & Gas industries personal reputation in the provision of a high level of service results in personal satisfaction for clients. Getting the job done with a high level of accuracy he has transferred these qualities to The Chalfont Bookkeeping Service.
Kevin has achieved the following qualifications with The Institute of Certified Bookkeepers (ICB).
Level II Certificate in Bookkeeping.
Level III Certificate in Bookkeeping and Accounts.
Level III Diploma in Self Assessment Tax.
Level III Diploma in Payroll Management.
Level III Diploma in Costing and Budgeting.
Level IV Certificate in Advanced Bookkeeping and Accounts.
Level IV Certificate in Preparing and Submitting Final Accounts for a micro-entity under FRS105.
Level IV Certificate in Drafting Financial Statements.
Level IV Certificate in Management Accounting.

CAN I SWITCH ACCOUNTANT / BOOKKEEPER
The answer to this is yes, whatever the reason you are entitled to change your accountant/bookkeeper. To do this all you have to do is contact us, sign up and then leave the rest to us. We can request all your financial information from your existing accountant/bookkeeper.
WHAT DOCUMENTS WILL I NEED TO COMPLETE TO SWITCH
To switch to The Chalfont Bookkeeping Service Limited we will require the completion of a couple of documents.
HOW LONG WILL THE SWITCHING PROCESS TAKE
Once you have completed the documents and signed up with us we will send the request to your previous Accountant/Bookkeeper, but it then depends on how quickly they provide the information to us. Once all the information has been received we will work as quickly as possible to input the data into our system.
WHEN IS THE BEST TIME TO SWITCH ACCOUNTANT / BOOKKEEPER
The best time would be the end of your financial year or at the end of a VAT tax return period, but this may not always be practical. So if you change at any other period of your financial year we may need to recreate what your Accountant/Bookkeeper has already done.
WILL I HAVE TO PAY ANY FEES TO MY PREVIOUS ACCOUNTANT / BOOKKEEPER
This will depend on your previous payment plan and when you decide to change, so check with your previous Accountant/Bookkeeper to clarify before making any decisions. If you have an outstanding payment with your previous Accountant/Bookkeeper it is unlikely that they will respond to our request to provide the necessary information until the outstanding payment has been settled.
